| CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sophomore Giulia Belfontali became the third member of the LC State Women’s Golf team to earn Cascade Conference McDonald’s Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, on Monday. Belfontali was voted the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week after her win to close out the fall.
Belfontali earned her second collegiate win with a playoff victory at The Warrior Fall Invitational. She was the only golfer to shoot a round under par with a 71 in round two, then won a one-hole playoff to claim the individual tournament title. Belfontali helped LC State defeat No. 20 Oregon Tech to win the team title as well.
This is the first weekly honor of Belfontali’s career.
