Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation Approves 15 Large Impact Grants Totaling $770,000

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation has awarded another $770,000 to 15 charitable organizations through large Impact Grant awards, which will promote health, wellness and disease prevention of persons within the Foundation’s Service Area”, said Jen Magers, Trust & Investment Officer of Idaho Trust Company, Trustee of the Foundation.

The Foundation’s Service Area includes nine counties: Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce in Idaho; Asotin, Garfield and Whitman in Washington; and Wallowa in Oregon.

The large Impact Grant is intended for grant requests up to $100,000 and priority is given to applicants that demonstrate a commitment to long-term vision, and projects that address the root causes that affect health, wellness, and help disease prevention.
Earlier this year, the Foundation awarded 61 Fast Track grants totaling $436,320.20, bringing the combined total awarded for Fast Track and large Impact Grants during 2025 to over $1,200,000.00.  The Foundation is pleased to be able to fund grants that support a variety of initiatives that address critical health challenges and promote wellness in the community.

Below is the list of organizations that were recommended by the Board of Community Advisors and approved by the Trustee to receive a large Impact Grant award this year including the amount awarded and what the grant funds will be used for:
– Circles of Caring Adult Day Health Foundation Inc. for 2025 General Operating Funds for $25,000.00
– Community Health Association of Spokane (dba CHAS Health) for SoCHAS Patient Assistance Program for $60,000.00
– Craigmont Quick Response Rescue Unit Inc. for the Zoll X Series Monitor/Defibrillator purchase for $40,000.00
– Family Promise of LC Valley for Family Promise of Lewis Clark Valley Inc. for $25,000.00
– Family Promise of the Palouse for the Shelter Services & Homeless Prevention Programs added service of “Housing Healthy Families” for $91,776.00
– Idaho Foodbank Warehouse, Inc., dba The Idaho Foodbank for the Hunger Relief in North Central Idaho Program for $70,000.00
– Interlink Inc. for Care for Caregivers for $64,400.00
– LC Valley Youth Resource Center Inc. for Youth Resource Center Drop-in and Overnight Programs for $85,000.00
– Red Door Food Kitchen/First Christian Church for The Red Door Food Kitchen for $25,000.00

– Rosalia Volunteer Firefighters Association for the Automated CPR Device Purchase for $12,000.00
– Sojourners Alliance for the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Rental Assistance program for $30,000.00
– Snake River Community Clinic for the AMP up! The Safety-Net Clinic! (AMP: Access More Prevention Program for $84,000.00
– St. Vincent de Paul Society – Moscow Conference of St. Francis of Assisi for the Emergency Housing, Rent, Medical Care and Utilities Fund-Latah County for $50,000.00
– Upriver Youth Leadership Council (UYLC) for the Kamiah Recovery Community Center Continuation for $82,824.00
– Valley Community Center for the Footcare Wellness Project for $25,000.00

The 2025 grant recipients will be recognized at a Grant Award Celebration on November 13th, 2025.

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation was established in 2017 by Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden as part of the sale of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center by Ascension Health to RCCH Healthcare Partners.  The Idaho Attorney General’s office established specific guidelines for the grants.  Those eligible to apply for grants are nonprofit tax-exempt organizations with 501(c)(3) classification from the IRS, or governmental entities, if used exclusively for charitable purposes of the trust. All proposals must be for health, wellness or disease prevention to qualify.
