Local residents found an pile of animal organs and blood up Lick Creek in Asotin County. It was originally believed to be from a cow that someone killed Wednesday with a reward offered for conviction of the person responsible.
Washington State Fish & Game checked it out and found it was actually the remains of a legally-harvested Elk. Undersheriff Blake Richards confirmed one of the hunters involved was hurt by the elk and had to be taken to the hospital.
