Idaho Absentee Request and Voting Pre-Registration Deadline Today

Today (Fri) at 5:00 p.m., is the deadline to both pre-register to vote and request an absentee ballot at VoteIdaho.gov ahead of the November 4th Local Elections. After today’s deadline, eligible voters can still register in-person at early voting or on Election Day with an accepted form of photo ID and proof of residence. Early voting is underway in many counties across Idaho.

Voters can visit the web site VoteIdaho.gov to check and update their registration, view a sample ballot, request an absentee ballot, find early voting information for their county, and more. Any eligible resident of a county may vote at any early voting location in their county. Those not yet registered can register and vote in person at early voting or on Election Day by bringing an accepted form of photo ID and proof of residence. For most voters, a current Idaho driver’s license satisfies both requirements.

Not every Idahoan will have something on their ballot this November. Local taxing districts operate on different schedules, and their boundaries don’t always follow neighborhood lines. Before heading to the polls, voters are encouraged to take a moment to check a sample ballot online at VoteIdaho.gov.
