The annual award honors individuals whose leadership and dedication advance the association’s mission. The PNWA is a non-profit, non-partisan trade association that advocates for federal policies and funding in support of regional economic development and river commerce.

“For us who work day in and day out on maritime issues affecting the region, Scott serves as a
model example of getting stuff done,” said PNWA Executive Director Neil Maunu, who
highlighted Corbitt’s efforts with dam advocacy. “Scott (holds) his ground on the importance of
the Lower Snake River Dams for his Port, his community, and for the region as a whole.”

While accepting the award, Corbitt saluted his staff and Port Commissioners for their support
and guidance.  “I have a small and mighty team that executes above their weight and has the ability to really get things done,” he said. “This belongs to them and the Commission, who guides our planning and efforts.”

In addition to receiving his award, Corbitt was elected to join the PNWA’s Executive Committee, a governing body that oversees the operations, goals, and mission of the agency. He is filling a vacancy left by Port of Lewiston Commissioner Jerry Klemm, who is retiring this year.
