The Interstate Bridge between Lewiston and Clarkston is closed westbound until tomorrow afternoon for emergency repairs. All traffic into Clarkston will have to use the Southway Bridge or Red Wolf Bridge.
We are still waiting for a call back from the Department of Transportation, but workers on-site said they are fixing the expansion joint closest to Lewiston.
Earlier reports from the Department of transportation said eastbound traffic would be diverted onto Snake River Avenue. That is incorrect. Eastbound traffic has not been diverted and is flowing normally. Westbound traffic from Lewiston is being diverted onto Snake River Avenue toward the Southway Bridge.
Work is expected to be finished by Wednesday at 4 PM.
