The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of indecent behavior on the Snake River near Cottonwood Creek Friday.
According to a news release, it was reported that a group of rafters had flashed their genitals and turned around and “mooned” passing boats. One of the boats had children on board. The Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and contacted 9 individuals involved. All 9 received misdemeanor citations.
According to the release, this seems to be an increasing problem of people exposing themselves to boats on the local rivers. The Sheriff’s Office will have zero tolerance for that type of behavior and individuals continuing the behavior will be charged accordingly.
