Early this morning (Weds) Nez Perce Tribal Police arrested a driver after they got a report of suspected narcotics activity at the Casino. It happened at about 3:00am.
A release from Tribal Police says officers responded to the Clearwater River Casino and got word the suspect had left in a white Ford Mustang, headed toward Lapwai. They located the vehicle and stopped it near the intersection of Red Duck Road and Thunder Valley Road in Lapwai.
During the stop, they contacted the vehicles occupants and found a passenger had multiple active warrants through both the Nez Perce Tribe and Nez Perce County. The release goes on to say a search of the vehicle resulted in fentanyl and paraphernalia.
The passenger was taken into custody on the outstanding warrants and charges related to the narcotics have been submitted, pending review.
