The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Thursday. It runs from 1pm until 11pm.
They say a dry cold front will push into the area, bringing winds and low humidity to some areas.
Winds are expected to be sustained at 12-18mph, gusting to 30. Higher, exposed areas could see 15-25mph sustained winds and gusts up to 40mph.
Elevations below 3,000 feet will see humidity 19% or lower.
Their concern is that these combined conditions would let fire spread rapidly.
