
The Pullman Police Department is investigating a shooting early yesterday (Sun) morning.
According to a post on the departmentโs Facebook page, at about 1:45 a.m. Pullman officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3100 Block of NW Cottonwood Lane. Responding officers located a 19-year-old unidentified Pullman man, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to Pullman Regional Hospital by the Pullman Fire Department. The victim is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
The Pullman Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and has identified a person of interest. Members of the public are asked to contact the Pullman Police Department with information related to the whereabouts of Jakori C. Buchanan. Buchanan is described as a 20-year-old black male, 5โ07โ and 143 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. Buchanan is believed to have left the scene in a gray 2025 Hyundai Sonata with Minnesota plates (REW514). He may be traveling to the Seattle area with companions, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators say the shooting appears to have been an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the general public.
