Lewis-Clark State College’s Center for Arts & History (CAH) will open a new exhibition titled “Radiant Realms” on Friday, Oct. 3, with a public opening reception from 5-9 p.m. The opening reception is held in conjunction with the Lewiston Downtown Artwalk. “Radiant Realms” will remain on display through Dec. 13 and is free and open to the public.

The exhibit brings together five Spokane-based contemporary artists: Gwyn Pevonka, Katie Frey, Heidi Barnett, Leah Yand, and Moeckel Studio. Each artist is known for making meaningful contributions to the Inland Northwest arts community. “Radiant Realms” explores landscapes, animals, and human expression through bold, imaginative, and abstract styles.

“This exhibit highlights a dynamic group of artists who challenge traditional forms through expressive techniques and vibrant palettes,” said LC State’s Director of the Center for Arts & History Kristi Brown. “Radiant Realms is a celebration of artistic energy, imagination, and storytelling that invites visitors to see the world through new lenses.”

Featured artists, Frey, Yand, and Moeckel Studio will attend the opening reception and offer live demonstrations as well as meet-and-greet opportunities. Attendees are invited to engage directly with the artists, gaining insight into their creative processes. The evening will feature live harp music by Mimi Perez along with light refreshments and drinks.

Attendees will have an additional opportunity to experience the exhibit through the Grape & Grain fundraising event on Friday, Oct. 10, from 6-9 p.m. at the center. Artists Pevonka and Barnett will offer interactive art demonstrations during the evening, allowing guests to engage directly with their techniques and creative approaches. Grape & Grain features local wine and craft beer tastings, live music, and a curated charcuterie spread. Event proceeds from Grape & Grain support CAH programming and student opportunities at LC State. Tickets and more information are available through the CAH website.

“We’re thrilled to offer opportunities for the public to interact with the artists and experience their creative energy firsthand,” said Callee Lasley, program coordinator at CAH. “Events like these are at the heart of what we do – connecting art, artists, and the community in meaningful ways.”

The Center for Arts & History gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
