Flash Flood Watch – Idaho County

flood-watch-3
The National Weather Service warns that thunderstorms moving through the region will be capable of producing torrential rainfall.  Some places could get up to 0.80″ per hour. That’s enough to cause flash flooding and trigger debris flows off recent burn scars and in flood-prone terrain.
The biggest concern is for Idaho County between 1pm-9pm today (Weds). If you live in or downstream from a recent burn scar, you are at higher risk. They recommend you be prepared to act quickly and move to higher ground if flooding begins or a warning is issued.
