A teen who escaped custody from the Asotin County Courthouse was apprehended yesterday (Mon) by Clarkston Police.
According to the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office, 13-year-old Kainoa I. Szakacs fled custody at around 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Deputies spotted him near the Asotin City Park, but he fled on foot across Asotin Creek and through private yards before evading capture. Despite an immediate search effort with assistance from the Clarkston Police Department with drone support, he was not located.
However, Clarkston Police were able to locate the teen where he was taken back into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
