If you’re going camping this weekend on the Salmon River, you should take note that the Bureau of Land Management is having a septic system problem at Hammer Creek Recreation Site. Both the RV Dump Station and flush toilet building suffered a drain field issue on August 20th and now they’re out of order until repairs can be finished.
A release from the BLM says they have a plan and it’s moving quickly. System improvements should be done by the end of October. Until then, visitors will need to use alternative RV dump sites. The vault toilets at Hammer Creek are still open.
