The City of Moscow reports one of their wells experienced an outage over the weekend. For some residents, especially on the northwest side of town, the water may “taste or appear unusual” according to a release from the city. Water Department leaders say they’re doing extra flushing in the affected area, and if your water is discolored, it’s from iron in the basalt aquifers. You can clear the line by running cold water in your bathtub for a few minutes until it’s no longer discolored.
The city stresses that it’s absolutely safe to use.
