The Waitsburg Gun Club, in partnership with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), will host an in-person celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The family-friendly event aims to introduce youth to target shooting, hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and conservation, along with a variety of other outdoor activities.
Organizers expect more than 250 youth from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho to take part, with total attendance projected at over 750 including parents and guardians. The day will feature hands-on experiences, educational displays, and activities designed to spark an interest in outdoor recreation and conservation.
