Voters have once again approved an Asotin County Fire District Emergency Services levy to restore full funding.
69-percent of voters said yes to the measure originally approved in 2016 to assess 50-cents per one thousand dollars of assessed property value. A state law had reduced the levy to 36 cents, putting services at risk.
The numbers are not final until certified by the Auditor’s Office. Mail-in ballots sent in the last few days may still be coming, and will be counted before the final vote is known.
