The Mariners fell to the Angels yesterday 1-4, but the loss was overshadowed by the Hall of Fame ceremony. In his acceptance speech, Ichiro Suzuki said for the third time, he is a rookie. The first, playing for the Orix Buffaloes in Japan, then the Mariners, and now the Hall of Fame. Filling his speech with humor, he went on to say “I am 51 years old, so easy on the hazing.” 52 other Hall of Famers were on hand, including Ken Griffey, Jr.
