The gag order in the murders of four University of Idaho students has been lifted.

Presiding Judge Steven Hippler lifted the nondissemination order yesterday (Thur) following a plea agreement earlier this month by prosecutors that eliminated the death penalty for confessed murderer Bryan Kohberger.

Kohberger, who pleaded guilty to all counts at a July 2nd change of plea hearing, will return to court for his sentencing on Wednesday.

As a part of the plea deal, Kohberger will be sentenced to four consecutive life terms on the four first-degree murder counts and the maximum penalty of 10 years on the burglary count.

Kohberger has admitted to the stabbing deaths of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin in the early morning hours of November 13th, 2022 at an off-campus house in Moscow.
