A fire in Nez Perce County was put out fairly quickly today. It happened off Highway 12 about 3 miles east of the interchange with Highway 95. Nez Perce County Fire, Kendrick Juliaetta Fire, Nez Perce Tribal Fire, and Arrow Junction Fire all descended on the blaze and had it out before it could burn more than about 2 acres. A lot of grass burned and one power pole was reportedly damaged in the blaze.
