Former Gonzaga basketball star Chet Holmgren has reportedly signed a fully guaranteed five-year maximum rookie contract extension that could reach $250 million to stay with the NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
The #2 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Holmgren blocked 11 shots in the NBA Finals alone, including five in Game 7 — the most by any player in an NBA Finals Game 7 since blocks became official in 1974. He’s one of just three players all time with 150 made 3-pointers and 250 blocks through the first two NBA seasons.
