Former Lewis-Clark State baseball star Seth Brown has agreed to a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The 33-year-old had spent a decade with the Athletics organization before being released last week.
He reached 20 home runs in consecutive seasons in 2021 and 2022.
The A’s briefly outrighted him off the 40-man roster, but he quickly hit his way back to the big leagues by mashing seven homers in nine Triple-A contests earlier this season in Las Vegas.
If Brown cracks the MLB roster at any point, the Diamondbacks would only owe him the prorated portion of the $760,000 league minimum. He’d be eligible for arbitration next offseason if he finishes this season in the big leagues.
