In observance of the Independence Day holiday, all public City of Lewiston facilities will be closed on Friday, July 4, and some city services will be temporarily impacted.
Facilities & Services affected:
- City Hall
- Lewiston Community Center
- Lewiston City Library – The Library will reopen for normal business hours on Saturday, July 5.
- Transit Office (Transit services will also not be available on Friday.) – Transit services will resume on Saturday, July 5.
- Orchards Pool (closed July 4–6)
- Bert Lipps Pool (closed indefinitely)
- Public Works and Community Development Offices
- Transfer Station – The Transfer Station will reopen on Saturday, July 5.
- Solid Waste Collection – No collection will occur on Friday, July 4. Regular weekly pickup, including recycling and yard waste, will occur one day later for Friday customers.
- Lewiston Police Department Lobby
- Fire Department Administration Building
Emergency services will remain fully operational throughout the holiday.
