The man charged with killing four University of Idaho students 2 ½ years ago is scheduled to appear in a Boise courtroom today (Wed).
Reports have indicated that 30-year-old Bryan Kohberger will plead guilty to the stabbing deaths in order to avoid the death penalty. According to several media outlets, as part of the plea deal, Kohberger would be sentenced to four life terms in prison and would waive all rights to appeal.
Kohberger is believed to have killed Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin and Kaylee Goncalves in the early morning hours of November 13, 2022 at an off-campus house in Moscow.
His trial had been scheduled to begin next month in Boise.
