CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Lewis-Clark State Women’s Golf led the Warrior athletic department in grade-point average for the second straight year with an impressive 3.89 in the spring. The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) rewarded five LC State women’s golfers with WGCA All-American Scholar honors on Monday.
Junior Dallis Shockey and sophomore Chase Caruso each earned the award for the second time in their career. Sophomore Isabella Barquet and freshmen Giulia Belfontali and Jane Barry earned their first WGCA academic honors.
To be named a WGCA All-American Scholar, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and have played in 50% of the team’s competitive rounds.
“Very proud of this group of five women being named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team,” coach Zach Anderson said. “They have proven that they put in the work on and off the course.”
