More than 700 Avista electric customers in the Elk City and Dixie areas of Idaho County will experience a planned power outage tomorrow (Thur). The outage will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
All affected customers will be notified in advance. Traffic control will be in place as lane closures are expected on Highway 14 between mileposts 34 and 35.
During the outage, Avista crews will be replacing aging infrastructure, including power poles and equipment, in the area. According to a news release, the updates are part of Avista’s ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and reliability of its infrastructure.
