Road crews are sealcoating two sections of Highway 12. Both sections are east of Kooskia. Both start tomorrow (Tuesday). Highway 12 will be down to one lane with flaggers alternating traffic.

The Idaho Transportation department says a sealcoat prolongs the life of the pavement and improves the driving surface by waterproofing the roadway. It also increases skid resistance.

Work starts near the Lochsa Ranger Station at milepost 121 and continues toward White Pine River Access. Then crews will shift to Powell at milepost 151, working toward Lolo Pass at milepost 167. The ITD says each section will take up to two weeks to complete.

Delays may take from 15 to 30 minutes. A pilot car will escort drivers through the work zone.
