Two people avoided serious injury when their Explorer rolled over last Thursday morning. Just before 6:30am, Clearwater County deputies, Weippe ambulance, and Pierce Fire responded to the single-vehicle accident on Browns Creek Rd. It happened about 5 miles from Pierce.Â
The SUV ended up on the drier’s-side door. The two occupants were able to get themselves out before emergency crews arrived. A release from the Sheriff’s Office says neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Both sustained head injuries. The passenger was taken to the hospital, the driver was cited for driving without privileges, driving with expired insurance and registration. Deputies are still investigating the crash.
