Crews are wrapping up work on the Post Fire burning near Post Office Creek in the Lochsa River corridor.
According to a news release, firefighters took advantage of the cooler, wetter weather over the weekend to continue cooling hot spots inside the firelines. While the unmanned aerial system continued to detect some heat, the amount has decreased each day.
Crews have packed out the remaining water-handling equipment from the fire line and will utilize a helicopter for other back haul missions as needed. Several crews have completed their assignments and have been released from the incident. A small contingent of people remains to continue securing and monitoring the fire. Those firefighters will also conduct suppression repair work along the Post Office Creek contingency line.
The 144-acre fire is now listed at 94 percent contained and the temporary flight restriction will be lifted tomorrow (Tue) night.
