
The Lochsa River opens tomorrow for Chinook salmon season. The Idaho Fish & Game Commission met today to approve the summer seasons on the South Fork Salmon River, Upper Salmon River, and the Lochsa.
South Fork and Upper Salmon Rivers open June 19th. All fisheries will be open to fishing seven days a week during the season. The season runs through August 10th unless closed earlier by the Fish & Game Director.
The statewide season limit is 20 adult Chinook Salmon
On the Lochsa River, you can fish from Lowell Bridge upstream to Twin Bridges immediately upstream from the confluence of Crooked Fork and Colt Killed creeks.
Fishing is open seven days a week between 4:30am and 9:00pm. The daily limit is 4 Chinook Salmon, only two of which can be adults. You can harvest both adipose clipped and unclipped adults.
