Lolo Forest Fire Danger Level Raised To “High”

The weather has dried up gotten hotter and now the Lolo National Forest is warning visitors and residents that they’re moving the arrow to “High” fire danger. Under current conditions, fires can start easily and all fine fuels, like grasses and needles, will ignite quickly.

They warn unattended fires are likely to escape and spread rapidly, so wildfire prevention matters more than ever.

Right now Idaho Department of Lands does not have any fire restrictions in the state, but that can change at any moment. You can go to idl.idaho.gov to check on restriction status.
