The upcoming two weekends offer free fishing. June 7th and 8th, you can fish for free in Washington. On June 14th, you can fish for free in Idaho.
This weekend anglers can snag rainbow trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and other gamefish in lakes. You’re not allowed to catch shellfish, salmon, steelhead, sturgeon or halibut without a license though.
You can fish locally just west of Clarkston along the Snake River. Those sites are Golf Course Pond, Silcott Pond, and West Evans Pond.
All of the regular limits, gear rules, recording requirements, and area closures still apply.
Free fishing day in Idaho is June 14th. Idaho has lots fewer rules and will have volunteers at many locations to offer poles to loan out.
