The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle injury crash that happened Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 95 between Lewiston and Genesee.
Dispatch received numerous calls around 10:45 a.m. about a single vehicle collision on northbound Highway 95 at mile marker 316.
According to a news release, a Jeep Wrangler ran off the road and collided with the hillside. The Jeep traveled along the hillside for quite a distance before flipping over and coming to a stop.
The unidentified driver was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital with what were described as very severe injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
