Idaho Governor Brad Little announced that he’s directing U.S. and State of Idaho flags to be brought to half-staff Monday, Memorial Day. They should remain down halfway from sunrise until noon to honor and mourn all the brave heroes who have died while serving the U.S. Armed Forces.

Little said “We set aside Memorial Day to honor America’s defenders – the ones who have earned and deserve our reverence, recognition, and respect. Let’s all commit ourselves to making sure this generation – and every one after it – honors those who serve in the military forces, especially those who have paid the ultimate price. The future of our country depends on it.”

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson announced flags at Washington state agencies will come down to half-staff at close of business, or sunset, tonight and stay there through the weekend.

U.S. Flag Code directs flags to come to half-staff at sunrise Monday and return to the top at noon.
