Lewiston Voters Say No to Proposed Water Infrastructure Project

Voters in Lewiston have rejected a proposed $25 million bond to fund a water, storm water and waste water infrastructure project downtown.

Turnout was low with just 18 percent of the city’s registered voters casting ballots.

Most voters supported the bond measure with 1,968 approving and 1,211 voting no. The bond measure needed a two-thirds majority to pass.
