Lewis-Clark State baseball coach Jake Taylor will not return for an 8th season.
Taylor has led the Warrior baseball program for the past 7 seasons making back-to-back national championship game appearances in the NAIA World Series in both 2022 and 2023.
However, LC had failed to qualify for the World Series in each of the last two seasons after being eliminated in the national opening round tournaments last year and this year.
Taylor finished his LC coaching career with the third-highest winning percentage in program history at 76.5 percent. His overall record in seven seasons was 263 wins, 80 losses and one tie.
A national search is underway and LC Valley News has learned the leading candidate is former LC State baseball coach Jeremiah Robbins, who was inducted into the Warrior Athletic Association Hall of Fame last month.

Jeremiah Robbins
Robbins led the Warriors to 5 national championship games in his six seasons and won three straight national titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
