
Lewiston’s Orchard Elementary School Principal Jennifer Gomez has been named Idaho’s 2025 National Distinguished Principal by the Idaho Association of School Administrators (IASA) and the Idaho the Idaho Association of Elementary School Principals (IAESP).
According to a news release, the prestigious recognition honors Mrs. Gomez’s exceptional leadership, her unwavering commitment to educational excellence, and her dedication to students, staff, and the greater community. Her innovative and student-centered approach to school leadership has earned admiration from colleagues and educators across the state.
Under Gomez’s guidance, Orchard Elementary has flourished both academically and culturally. Most notably, the school was awarded the Model PLC School designation earlier this year, reflecting its strong commitment to collaborative professional learning communities and continuous improvement.
Gomez began her career with the Lewiston Independent School District in 1996 as a classroom teacher and has served as principal of Orchard Elementary since 2016.
