Local Schools Win Big At FFA State Convention

Future Farmers of America students won big at the Washington state convention this weekend. The WSU campus was packed with middle and high school students competing in agricultural events.

Several local teams won big. Pomeroy took home 21 awards in the top 10. They earned two first place team award in Agricultural Issues and Environmental and Natural Resources. They also took two division first place wins in Food Products and Processing

Pullman won 12 awards with two team firsts in Agricultural Communications and Horse Evaluation. They also took first and second in individual category in Agricultural Communications with Clover Matthews coming in first and Taylore Wolfe in second.

Asotin brought in a first place win in Parliamentary Procedure among their 6 awards.

Colton earned 7 awards in the top 10 with a team 2^nd place in Agricultural Communications.

Clarkston earned two awards with a 2^nd place win for their Marketing Plan.
