The Lewiston Fire Department is recognizing Braxton Coy for saving his friend’s life. They presented Braxton with the Citizen Recognition of Life-Saving Award.
Over the weekend, his friend was hurt in the neck with what they call “significant bleeding”. A release from the LFD says “Braxton immediately stepped into action.” He applied pressure to his friend’s wound, called 911, stayed calm, and contacted his friends’ parents so they could get there before the ambulance left for the hospital.
“Braxton’s swift, decisive, and compassionate actions undoubtedly played a crucial role in saving his friend’s life.” The release goes on to say “His bravery and composure under intense pressure exemplify the very best qualities of leadership, care, and responsibility.”
