The 32-year-old Moore appeared in 6 games last week, and hit .385 with 6 runs, a double, 3 home runs, 5 runs-batted-in, a walk and 3 stolen bases. It marks the first weekly award won in Moore’s big league career.
The Mariners went 4-1 in Moore’s starts over the past week, and he is the first Seattle player to win a weekly award since center fielder Julio Rodríguez was named AL Player of the Week in September last season.
Seattle opens a three-game series in Boston this (Tue) afternoon. The first pitch is set for 3:45 with live radio coverage in the LC Valley on 95.5 FM and AM 950 KOZE and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
