The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office wants you to know about another scam. A potential victim brought it to their attention after getting a letter sent to their home in Dayton, Washington. It appears to be from Publishers Clearing House, but the Sheriff’s Office says it’s definitely a scam. You can tell because this one tells you to keep your winning confidential until you’ve contacted them, no real sweepstakes will demand money for a prize, and they say real prizes are free. You can also tell because there’s poor grammar in the letter.
