During the latest donation push, donors gave more than $1.28 million to the University of Idaho. That breaks the previous record by almost $153,000.
This was during the Vandal Giving Day April 1st and 2nd.
It’s part of the “Brave. Bold. Unstoppable.” fundraising campaign that started in 2015 and continues through Dec. 31. The effort is to increase resources for scholarships, research, and U of I programs statewide.
This donation total pushes the campaign past it’s $500 million goal.
Organizers say most donations came from Washington and Oregon, but funds came from as far away as France, Australia, Wales, and Chile.
