The City of Lewiston has contracted with Halme Construction to begin Phase 1 of a new Raw Water Intake located east of the city limits along the Clearwater River.
According to a news release from the city, site preparation is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 24th, with active construction starting on April 7th.
During construction, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers shared-use pathway will be temporarily closed. The trail closure will extend from the parking areas across from Vista Road on the east end to Hatwai Junction on the west end.
Officials say as with all construction, unforeseen conditions could alter the construction schedule.
