
The Lewiston Independent School District Board of Directors has voted to elect Tim Sperber as the district’s 17th Superintendent.

Sperber, who’s worked in the district for 19 years, earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Washington State University. He joined the district in July 2006 as the Coordinator of Tammany High School. The following year, he transitioned to Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Lewiston High School. In July 2012, he was appointed Elementary Principal at Whitman, and in July 2021, he assumed the role of Secondary Principal at Sacajawea Middle School.
He holds an Idaho Education Credential with endorsements in School Principal (Pre-K12), English (6-12), Social Studies (6-12), and History (6-12).
Sperber will replace outgoing Superintendent Lance Hansen who’s leaving after accepting a Superintendent position in Kennewick, Washington.
