Toys for Tots has kicked off its 2024 season. Over the next several weeks, volunteers will be working to gather donations and put together an exciting event.

For 77 years, the United States Marine Corps Toys For Tots has been the Official “Santa’s Helper” in gathering toys and bringing joy to millions of children around the nation. The campaign is being led by Former Marine Corps Sgt. Jason Brown.

Any businesses or community members that want to get involved are invited to help support Toys For Tots. Last year, Toys For Tots was able to impact 1,818 kids. Applications normally begin the week prior to Thanksgiving. Once the dates are finalized officials will post them on their Facebook page and website.

Monetary donations are accepted and checks should be made out payable to Toys For Tots. Donations can also be made online here.

On Saturday, the Sgt. Maj. Linehan detachment of the Marine Corps League, which sponsors the Lewiston Toys For Tots campaign, will be celebrating the 249th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

The public is welcome to come celebrate the birth of the Marine Corps and learn about Toys For Tots at the event being held at the Clarkston Holiday Inn.
