The deadline to apply for an Idaho absentee ballot for the November 5th General Election is today (FrI), October 25th. Registered voters can request an absentee ballot at www.VoteIdaho.gov through 5 pm on Friday, October 25th.
Important Dates & Deadlines for the November 5th Election:
- Absentee Request Deadline: Friday, October 25th, 5:00 pm
- Early Voting (where applicable): Now through Friday, November 1st, 5:00 pm
- Election Day: Tuesday, November 5th, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
- Absentee Ballots Due: Tuesday, November 5th, 8:00 pm
As of October 24, 2024, 189,774 absentee ballots have been issued statewide. Of those, 106,690 have been returned to county elections offices, with a return rate of 59.6%. Completed ballots must be returned to county elections offices by mail, in person, or in an official ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
The Idaho General Election will include races for United States President and Vice President, United States Representative, State Senate, State House of Representatives, County Commissioner, County Sheriff, County Prosecuting Attorney, Judges, ballot measures and other local races. For the first time, all Idaho voters can preview a personalized sample ballot at https://voteidaho.gov/idaho-general-election/.
