Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker and Jason Heyward all homered and the Houston Astros beat the Seattle Mariners 4-3 last (Tue) night to secure the American League West Division title at Minute Maid Park.
Jorge Polanco went 4-for-4, including a homerun and drove in two runs for the Mariners.
Logan Gilbert took the loss for Seattle. The righthander allowed 4 runs on 5 hits with 6 strikeouts over a 6 inning start.
The Mariners are 2 ½ games behind Kansas City and Detroit for the final American League Wild Card spot with four games remaining in the regular season.
Seattle wraps-up its series in Houston today (Wed) with the first pitch set for 11:10 a.m. with live coverage in the LC Valley on 95.5 FM and AM 950 KOZE and in the upper Clearwater Vallley on AM 1300 KLER.
