A minimum security inmate who’d been assigned to a work crew on the University of Idaho campus was apprehended last (Tue) night in Pullman after walking away.
Authorities had issued an evacuation order for Theophilus Tower following a report from a witness who advised a man was hiding in a closet.
34-year-old Wayland Savage had been part of a work crew on the Moscow campus.
Moscow Police, along with Pullman Police and Whitman County Regional SWAT searched the campus near Theophilus Tower into the evening.
Around 8:30 p.m., Savage was located and apprehended by police in Pullman.
Savage was originally serving time for burglary and grand theft charges.
