Recent lightning has sparked numerous fires in the area.
According to the Idaho Department of Lands, two of the larger fires are on the Salmon River breaks in the vicinity of the Eagle Creek drainage. The First Creek Fire is about 80 acres and the Fourth Creek Fire is about 100 acres.
The Fisher Fire (25 acres) and Blakeman Fire (0.1 acres) are in the Big Creek drainage between Orofino and Craigmont.
All four fires have been staffed with initial attack personnel fighting the fires from the ground and the air.
Additionally, crews are attempting to locate any additional fires from the recent storms.
