With temperatures in the upper 90s and triple-digits expected over the weekend, the City of Pullman is activating an additional cooling center at the Pullman Senior Center on Sunday, during the hottest part of the day due to Neill Public Library being closed.
The Senior Center, attached to the Pullman Recreation Center, is located at 190 SE Crestview Street, Building B, can be accessed at the northwest corner of the building. Residents may use the air-conditioned space—which provides public restrooms, a drinking fountain, and room to wait out the heat—between noon and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Per policy, only service animals may be admitted at this time.
The Neill Public Library remains available for heat relief during open hours.
